This website is where you can find information about your child's sport program. This will include your child's timetable and when upcoming events will occur. After the season we will also upload pictures and videos from the season so that you will be able to view them.
From a Students Point of View (Volleyball)
The volleyball season at E.I.S was an unforgettable experience. From hosting our own volleyball tournament to playing against other clubs we all learned something valuable and had fun along the way.
We trained every Tuesday and Thursday from three to five and in the lunch breaks on those days. Additionally, we might of added a Saturday where it was optional to come and practice a bit more. Our practices consisted of a light warm-up followed by skills and at the end a quick Queen's court or scrimmage.
The tournament that we hosted was a lot of fun. Odense International School came and some of the girls on our team hosted some of the players. I hosted two players and we had a lot of fun together. That night we played Just Dance, had a barbecue and then ate at the hosting home.
I think I can speak for everyone on my team when I say that we met new friends and got to know people from different backgrounds. I'm excited for the new volleyball season and can't wait for an unforgettable experience once again.

From a Students Point of View (Basketball)
Training with the basketball team was a great experience. It requires a level of commitment that not everyone might be willing to give, but it is also very rewarding both because of constant improvement and because it is really fun.
Commitment is something essential for sport teams. You have to be there for every training and give your best at every training. With Mr. Mo there is no complaints. If you want to stay, you have to be willing to contribute to the team and if you are not willing to, you can always leave. It might seem harsh at first, but you eventually realize that when you know that there is a certain level of commitment from every member in a group, you know you can trust those people. The will give you a ride if you don’t have a car, they will lone you their spare shoes if you forgot your shoes at home, they will listen to you when you have a problem and they will try to help you solve it no matter what, and they do that because they know you would do the same for them.
Also, when there is enough commitment to the team, you know that no one is going to be fooling around in the trainings. Everyone always wants to progress, get better and have a good time.
Apart from learning a lot and improving a lot at the sport, you also develop social skills. Everyone tries to have a good time by making jokes, helping each other out, working together and improving together. Everyone just had so much fun.
Our coach was the one that made everything possible though. He made everything so much more fun and exciting, he was the one who committed the most, he was the one who helped us the most when we needed help and he was the one who cared most about everyone. He made sure that we would eat and sleep well after the training because we had used a lot of energy. He made sure we warmed up properly before the training and stretched properly after the training to prevent any injuries. He was always there when you needed to speak to someone and you knew you could always trust him. He was the one who taught us about commitment and about helping each other. He… he was the one who made it all possible.
And when the first tournament came, we were the best. We put everything we had learnt to practice. There was teamwork, there were amazing plays, there were so many good things I could not name them all. And in the last match we would have been too tired to play if we hadn’t trained as hard as we did; we had enough energy to just keep playing. And at the end of the day, when we won over all of the other teams, I and all of my teammates realized the same thing: all the commitment, all the hard work we had put into the trainings , it was worth it.
